Community Program

The 2023-24 community program – working in conjunction with Hoops Capital Academy and partner Basketball NSW – has a primary goal of increasing the participation rates of women in sports, particularly basketball within regional and rural areas of New South Wales.

Members of both the NSW and local governments couldn’t express the value and importance that these clinics had not only on developing basketball skills but also more importantly, giving their local communities positive role models for young females to look up to.

The clinics are designed to develop individual skills whilst concurrently providing a pathway and role model for young females to look up to when it comes to pursuing their own sporting dreams.

Overall, the Flames look to build strong positive connections with the regional areas of NSW in the hopes of fostering the sustained growth and empowerment of young women through basketball.
