Brydens Stadium hosts new-look Sydney Kings
Brydens Stadium, home of the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames, hosted the new-look Sydney Kings on Friday evening as they faced Japan’s National Team in their first pre-season hit out.
Making his historic debut for the Kings, Andrew Bogut – who only played half a game – was strong on both ends of the floor, helping the Kings secure a 77-57 win.
Providing plenty of entertainment for the sellout crowd was Daniel Kickert who recorded a game-high 24 points in just 26 minutes (going 9 of 13 from the field) and Deng Deng, who delivered a couple of dunks and impressive fourth quarter alley-oop.
The game – made better by the convincing victory – was a huge success with many Flames and Sydney Uni Sparks players in the stands, cheering on the Kings ahead of the NBL and WNBL season start in October.
