Chemist Warehouse announced as WNBL naming rights partner

Basketball Australia today announced Chemist Warehouse as their official women’s pathway partner which includes the brand throwing its full support behind the WNBL and the Opals as the naming rights partner for the next three years.

Head of WNBL Sally Phillips believes this backing will ensure that the league can continue to gain momentum ahead of the 2018/19 season tip-off in October and strive forward into an exciting future.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with a brand that genuinely cares about the future of our league, our clubs and our athletes.”

Chemist Warehouse Chief Operating Officer Mario Tascone said he is pleased to come on board and understands this journey will present many opportunities.

“We’re fortunate to be able to assist the Opals and the WNBL in continuing to develop the women’s league into one of Australia’s premier women’s sporting competitions, which is something that is very special to us.”
