January 24, 2024 | Sydney Flames news

Sydney Flames wins and NBL1 West superstar Emma Clarke will move to the Joondalup Wolves for the 2024 NBL1 season – which tips off on Match 28

After spending the past two seasons with the Perry Lakes Hawks, Clarke made the NBL1 West First Team in 2022 and averaged 19.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 2023.

She led the Hawks to the first round of the NBL1 West Finals before losing to the Mandurah Magic.

“I’m excited to compete in front of the home fans, and with the players we have, I believe we will be a finals contender,” Clarke said.

Head coach Jesse Pence had high praise for Clarke’s game and is looking forward to the 23-year-old “sharpshooter” joining the squad.

“She is a sharpshooter that handles like a guard, has the athleticism to finish on the interior and is a competitor with a high motor,” Pence said.

Clarke will join Sarah Toeaina, Darien Huff and Ella Thornton-Elliot on the Wolves roster for 2024.
