Finals time for Flames

With QBL, SEABL and Waratah League Finals fast approaching, or already underway, Brydens Sydney Uni Flames players are gearing up to finish big in their respective competitions.

Alex Wilson and the Launceston Tornadoes earned the a week off after their upset defeat of the Bendigo Braves two weeks ago, and will face the Nunawading Spectres in the Semi Finals this weekend.

Nunawading beat Mark Alabakov’s Melbourne Tigers to eliminate them from the SEABL competition at the weekend. Congratulations to the Flames Assistant Coach who an astounding season in his first year as a SEABL Head Coach earning the Tigers their first Finals appearance.

In QBL, AJ had another great game when the Ispwich Force beat the Gold Coast Rollers 82-71. AJ was dominant with 30 points, 14 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists.

The QBL moves into Finals this weekend and Ipswich has finished in 2nd position.

Sarah Graham and the Hornsby Spiders defeated the Bankstown Bruins, 77-62 in the final round game of the Waratah League. Sarah scored 27 points which included six from 12 from the 3 point line, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Spiders will face the Sutherland Sharks in the Waratah Semi Finals in two weeks time.
