November 28, 2017 | Sydney Flames news

After a couple of weeks on the road, the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames are home at Brydens Stadium for two games in Round 9. Coming off an emphatic 101-89 win over the Melbourne Boomers on Sunday, the Flames are excited to carry that momentum and be back in front of their home crowd.

First up in Round 9, the Flames take on the MAC Adelaide Lightning at 7pm on Wednesday 29th November. The first time these two team’s met was the first game of the season. The Lightning were playing at home and came away 11 point victors. The Flames will be looking to use their own home court advantage to overcome the visiting side this time.

The Lightning are led by Australian Opal, Abby Bishop, who will battle it out with in form Flames Asia Taylor and Jen Hamson in the post. Reigning WNBL Player of the Week, Belinda Snell, along with young sharp shooter Ally Wilson combined for 13 3-pointers (54%) last game and will look to continue their dominant form.

Both the Flames and Lightning are coming off big wins in the Cluster Round, so this is set to be a cracking game between two of the top four teams  in the WNBL.
