Flames game against Adelaide Lightning postponed

November 19, 2020 | Sydney Flames news

As per the WNBL’s recent announcement, the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames game against the Adelaide Lightning scheduled for tonight at 9.00pm (8.00pm local) has been postponed.

Due to a recent COVID outbreak in South Australia and as per directives by Queensland Health, the Lightning are currently required to self-isolate in Townsville until Monday 23 November.

All members of the Adelaide Lightning have been tested and returned negative results.

The primary focus now is to support the mental and physical wellbeing of the all members of the Lightning’s travelling party, and the Flames and Sydney basketball community would like to extend their well-wishes and support to the Lightning during this time.

The league is currently working with each club and event stakeholders to determine the best fixture solution for the three Lightning games that have been postponed while they are in quarantine. An announcement will occur in due course.

With the exception of those games featuring the Lighting until November 23, all games of the 2020 Chemist Warehouse WNBL season will continue as scheduled.
