Flames join Kings for Fan Day at Luna Park

Brydens Sydney Uni Flames full 2018-19 outfit joined the Sydney Kings at Luna Park on Monday for a combined Fan Day, which doubled as the NBL and WNBL season launch.

Despite the overcast conditions which loomed over the still beautiful Harbour, the morning gave members and fans alike the opportunity to meet their favourite Flames – and Kings – to grab some merch, take photos and get autographs.

Team mascot Flicka also made an appearance, joined by the Sydney Kings Lion (and Cub) to provide some entertainment for the kids that came out for the Fan Day, timed perfectly to coincide with the Spring School Holidays.

This was followed by a formal launch hosted by both league’s in the park’s function room where Alex Bunton represented the Flames on stage.

Monday marked the first time the squad has come together in full with Bunton returning from her FIBA World Cup campaign, silver medal in tow, less than a week ago.

The team will launch their official WNBL 18-19 campaign this Friday night at Brydens Stadium, taking on the University of Canberra Capitals at 7pm. Tickets available HERE.
