Flames look ahead to double road trip
Brydens Sydney Uni Flames are looking ahead to the weekend’s double road trip in Victoria following Sunday’s disappointing loss to the Fire in Townsville.
The game was messy from the get-go with both teams struggling to score, going into the first break down 15-14 and tied up at the final break, 42 apiece.
However it was Townsville who was able to capitalise on the Flames shooting woos and trouble rebounding, getting the win 61-57.
Despite the loss, the group is focussed on making this weekend’s road trip south count, aiming to get two much-needed wins over the struggling Bendigo and soaring Southside.
The Flames will take on the Spirit on Thursday before backing it up on Saturday against first-place Flyers in Dandenong.
After this road trip, the Flames will enjoy a string of home games in Sydney, beginning on Sunday, 29 December with Family Round.
