Flames secure second spot with victory over Spirit

In their last regular season game,  the Brydens Sydney Uni Flames have claimed a 12 point win over the Bendigo Bank Spirit. The road win results in the Flames securing second place heading into the 2017/18 WNBL playoff series.

Asia Taylor led the Flames with 15 points and 8 rebounds, Katie-Rae Ebzery added 13 points and 6 assists. Jen Hanson also finished with a double-double adding 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with 4 blocks.

Similar to last year, the Flames now face the JCU Townsville Fire in the best of three Semi Final series. The Flames will head up to Townsville for Game 1 on Thursday 4th January, before hosting the the Fire for Game 2 on Saturday 6th January at 3pm. Game 3 will also be played at Brydens Stadium on Monday 8th January if necessary.
