Flames to host Aisin AW Wings in preseason hit-out
Brydens Sydney Uni Flames are encouraging fans to catch the new look team in action against Japan’s Aisin AW Wings next Friday, 28 September at Brydens Stadium.
The free-entry game (tip-off at 6.30pm) will be Sydneysiders’ first opportunity to see this year’s squad play as a team, following this weekend’s preseason hit-out against the MAC Adelaide Lightning in South Australia.
The Wings, who play in Japan’s premier women’s basketball league, the Basketball Women’s Japan League Organization (WJBL), will travel to Sydney for two matches against the Flames, with another closed game scheduled for Thursday 27 September.
The games come just two weeks out from the Flames official foray into WNBL 2018-19, giving the team some invaluable court-time against a competitive side.
Tickets to the Flames first home game versus the University of Canberra Capitals on Friday 12 October at 7.00pm are available HERE.
