George named in WNBL’s Team of Round 11
Sydney Flames’ Cayla George has been rewarded for her exceptional play over the last week by being named in the WNBL’s Team of Round 11.
Flame #215 first produced 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists against Southside before backing it up with a player of the game performance against Perth – to the tune of 28 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
These showings secured the WNBL23 MVP her first appearance in Team of the Round this campaign.
Joining the 2023 WNBA champion in the Team of the Round are Bendigo’s Alex Wilson, Melbourne’s Naz Hilman, Canberra’s Alex Sharp and Southside’s Lauren Jackson – who was also crowned Player of the Round.
George’s Flames will look to build on their thrilling Pink Hoops win against Perth when they host Adelaide at Quaycentre on Wednesday night from 6.45pm AEDT – with tickets still available here.
