George named WNBL’s Player of Round 12
Sydney Flames skipper Cayla George has been acknowledged for her strong play over the past week by being named the WNBL’s Player of Round 12.
Flame #216 first tallied 27 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks against Geelong before adding 13 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block during Sydney’s Pink Hoops win over Adelaide.

This is the second time George has been named Player of the Round during WNBL25, also receiving the honour during round nine.
Joining the Australian Opal in the competition’s Team of the Week are Geelong’s Jaz Shelley, Townsville’s Courtney Woods, Perth’s Ally Wilson and Bendigo’s Kelsey Griffin.

George’s Hoops Capital side now head to Townsville to face the Fire on Wednesday night from 7pm AEDT – live on ESPN.
They then return home for a round 13 clash with Perth at Quaycentre on Saturday, January 25 – with tickets still available here.
