George set to break 5000-point milestone

December 5, 2024 | Sydney Flames news

Sydney Flames’ Cayla George is set to become just the fourth player in WNBL history to score 5,000 career points, during the club’s round six fixture against Perth on Saturday.

Flame #216 George, who currently sits on 4,986 points, needs just 14 points to join the likes of Suzy Batkovic (5,843 points), Rachael Sporn (5,823) and Shelley Sandie (5,204), to bring up that milestone during the competition’s 45-year existence.

George’s Hoops Capital side plays the Lynx on Saturday, December 7 at Quaycentre – tipping off at 4.45pm.
