Hoops Capital launches Coaches Combine
The reach of the Hoops Capital Academy around the state continues to grow, as shown by the exciting announcement of its new Coaches Combine initiative.
Set to tip-off in the coming weeks, the free program is designed to unite all levels of coaches in NSW and provide them with a series of unique experiences, opportunities and insights into the world of professional basketball.
Invited to the inner sanctum of the Hoops Capital club, coaches will be provided with access to a variety of assets that will be relevant at all levels of coaching, from player and personality management to game day preparation and coaching the one percenters – with the program featuring face-to-face sessions with the Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames, as well as online lectures, game day experiences and access to a monthly newsletter.

“Hoops Capital Academy is excited to provide coaches of all levels with both a networking opportunity and a forum to upskill themselves,” Hoops Capital CEO Sean Nicholls said.
“We want to make the professional basketball environment an accessible one for basketball coaches.
“The program aims to provide coaches with a unique insight into both Sydney Kings and Flames game day and training coaching operations.”
Hoops Capital and its academy have significant and far-reaching expansion plans that can only be achieved through the creation of a reliable pipeline of coaches flowing through the various programs, with the possibility of obtaining assistant coaching roles at the Kings and/or Flames.
Just like the Hoops Capital Academy, the aim of the Coaches Combine will be to provide a linear pathway for coaches into professional ranks – an unmatched opportunity to coach at the elite level of the sport.
If you’d like to get involved in the program, which is set to hold a launch event at the Kings’ home game against Illawarra on January 15 at Qudos Bank Arena, please register your interest here.
