Nicholson shortlisted for WNBL24 MVP Award
Sydney Flames’ Lauren Nicholson has been rewarded for her exceptional season on the court in the 2023-24 WNBL season by being shortlisted for the competition’s most prestigious award, the MVP Award.
The Sutherland junior, who is averaging 16.7 points, 3.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game, is one of five players in the running for the Suzy Batkovic Medal, which will be presented at Sunday night’s WNBL awards in Melbourne.

In contention alongside Flame #132 is Adelaide’s Isobel Borlase, Melbourne’s Jordin Canada, Canberra’s Jade Melbourne and Townsville’s Sami Whitcomb.
Over the coming week, the WNBL will be revealing the nominees for all the other major awards to be presented on the night, including Fan MVP, Community Award, Coach of the Year, Breakout Player, Sixth Woman and Defensive Player.
