Panousis earns NBL1 East All Star Five honour
Sydney Flames guard Vanessa Panousis has been acknowledged for her exceptional NBL1 East season with Sutherland by being named in the 2022 All Star Five.
The 27-year-old was announced on the squad on Thursday, on the back of averages of 17.28 points, 5.39 assists, five rebounds and 1.50 steals per game.
Joining Panousis in the squad are Sharks teammate Lauren Nicholson and Albury-Wodonga trio Lauren Jackson, Unique Thompson and Al Yamada.
Panousis and her Sharks are just two wins away from taking out the inaugural NBL1 East title.
Standing in their way firstly is Manly-Warringah, who they’ll battle in the semi-final at the Hills Basketball Stadium.
The winner of that clash will take on the victor of the other semi-final between Albury-Wodonga and Norths.
