Panousis pens deal to swim with Sharks again
Sydney Flames guard Vanessa Panousis announced on Monday that she would be returning to the Sutherland Sharks for the 2024 NBL season.
After playing for her junior club Sydney in 2023, Panousis will be back at the team she represented during the 2022 season – seeing her link up with Flames teammate Lauren Nicholson.

“It’s great to have Vanessa back at our club,” said Sharks general manager Adrian Dark via the club website.
“She is familiar with our team and players, having been with us before.

“She is an elite guard who is going to be able to help us not only win games of basketball but mentor and grow our young players coming through.
“It’s an exciting time for our women’s program.”
Flame #143 Panousis and her Sharks open their NBL1 East campaign from 5pm Saturday, April 6 against Penrith at the Sutherland Basketball Stadium.
