Record-breaking night for George in Perth

November 24, 2024 | Sydney Flames news

Saturday night’s game between the Sydney Flames and Perth Lynx at the Bendat Basketball Stadium saw Cayla George etch her name further into the WNBL record books.

Flame #216 George – who produced 19 points, 16 boards, four dimes and two blocks on the night – is already the competition’s top rebounder (3,449), while also sitting in fourth for all-time points (4, 973) and ninth all-time for games played in the WNBL with 356.

But during the round four fixture in Western Australia, Sydney’s captain moved up to fifth place on the all-time blocks list, eclipsing Lauren Jackson’s mark of 439.
