Round 4 Preview – Brydens Sydney Uni Flames VS Canberra Capitals

October 30, 2019 | Sydney Flames news

The 2019/20 Chemist Warehouse WNBL season is truly underway. Following a rough start in the opening two rounds, the Flames have started to flip the script after noting their first win on the weekend against defending champions, the University of Canberra Capitals, 81-75.

On Saturday the Flames will head south to again face off against the Caps in Canberra for their Indigenous Round. Undoubtedly after last week’s match the Flames will be hunting for their second straight win while the Caps will fight hard to earn the win at home.

This week the WNBL named Alice Kunek in the Round 3 Team of the Week and rightfully so. Kunek has consistently performed averaging 18 points, four assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. Alongside Alice Kunek, the Flames will look to Tahlia Tupaea and Alex Wilson to lead from the front following impressive stats last weekend.

On Thursday, 7 November the Flames will return to Brydens Stadium to take on Townsville in their Student Round. Tip off is at 7pm. To celebrate our students in the game, we are offering FREE tickets (show ID upon arrival) to all Sydney University students. Grab all your mates and get behind the Flames for what should make a fantastic week night social. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite.
