ROUND FOUR PREVIEW: FLAMES V BOOMERS
The Brydens Sydney Uni Flames are taking on title contenders in the Melbourne Boomers this Wednesday at Qudos Bank Arena.
The Boomers are filled with star players like Opals stars Ezi Magbegor, Cayla George and imports Lindsay Allen and Tiffany Mitchell. They are 3-1 going into this game after a dominant 25-point win over the Bendigo Spirit.
The Flames are coming off a close loss to the Townsville Fire, with a quick five-day turnaround fly back from Townsville to face off against the Boomers.

During the week head coach Shane Heal said that the Boomers are one of the toughest teams in the league.
“Other players will now need to step up as we look to take on Townsville and then Melbourne [Boomers] who are two of the league’s best teams,” Heal said.
Co-captain Keely Froling will with her hands full defending Magbegor and it will require a team effort to slow down Mitchell and Allen.
In the game against Townsville, the Flames shot poorly, going 4-26 from the three-point attempts. The Flames will need big performances from Shyla Heal and Chelsea Dungee, who both are capable of WNBL superstardom this season.
The Flames started off hot in the game on Saturday, playing great defence and moving the ball well. If the Flames shoot more efficiently, the game against the Boomers should be a classic Sydney vs. Melbourne game.
The Flames play against the Melbourne Boomers on Wednesday, December 22 at 5 pm at Qudos Bank Arena.
The game is a double header with the Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings against the NBL’s newest team, the Tasmanian JackJumpers straight after. Get your tickets here.
