Triple double for Tiana in NBL1
A triple-double from our Sydney Flames recruit Tiana Mangakahia headlined an action-packed NBL1 weekend for our players.
Tiana continued to prove what an exciting prospect she was for the upcoming WNBL season as Northside smashed the Darwin Salties on Friday night, with Tiana a standout. Tiana was tireless dropping 24 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists in a massive 56-point victory
Shyla Heal made her return to the court for Northside after her time off, recovering from glandular fever. Heal dropped 13 points, 3 rebounds and four assists.
In the West, another one of our new Flames recruits continues to showcase her hard work and passion on the court, getting ready for the WNBL season. Emma Clarke showed up for the Perry Lakes Hawks over the weekend, delivering 22 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a narrow defeat.
In the South, Keely Froling again had a massive two games over the weekend. Froling played her first game of round 9 against the Geelong Supercats on Friday night, delivering 17 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, contributing to the team’s win, 77 – 73. While it was a loss the next day against Nunawading, Keely had a great game, dropping 30 points, nine rebounds and two assists.
