WNBL crowd numbers continue to rise
The Cygnett WNBL is experiencing record crowds this season, with game attendance soaring above pre-pandemic levels.
After round 12, WNBL attendance is up 25 per cent in comparison to the 2019/20 season.

Crowds are up across the country, for all teams, including multiple sell-out crowds at the Boom Box (Melbourne), and new record crowds at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena – set during the Hoops Capital side’s game against Southside on January 18.
The previous record crowd for a WNBL game stands at 7,500, a record the WNBL is aiming to break at the historical John Cain Arena matchup between Southside and Sydney this weekend.
Since the success of the 2022 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, women’s basketball in Australia has seen an influx of new fans.
