Do you love your professional sport and are looking for a way to get into the elite industry?

Well, this is your chance, with Hoops Capital – encompassing the Sydney Kings and Flames – having a number of roles available for the 2023-23 seasons.

The first role is as a voluntary coaching internship with the Kings, which will involve 15-20 hours per week on the job at either Auburn, Olympic Park or Moore Park – between the months of August 2023 and March 2024.

As well as helping on court with practice, the position will require the successful applicant to use Sportscode, to assist with the coding and filming of practice and games, while also collecting data and helping with set-up/pack-down.

The other Kings-specific position on offer is a part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach, which will involve 15-30 hours per week, at a range of venues.

Duties for the applicants, who need to have completed a strength and conditioning degree (either undergraduate or postgraduate), include; oversee live GPS monitoring systems throughout training sessions and home games, assist and oversee the collection and analysis of wellness, load and gym-based data, assist in the design and implementation of rehab processes, oversee on-court warm-ups, strength and conditioning and recovery sessions and contribute to performance department in-services.

The next three roles at Hoops Capital will entail the successful applicants to work with both the Kings and Flames, which include being a strength and conditioning intern, physiotherapy intern and physiotherapy associate – aligned with Zone 34.
