Townsville Fire Defeats Southside Flyers 105-77 in Dominant Performance
In a thrilling WNBL matchup, the Townsville Fire secured a commanding 105-77 victory over the Southside Flyers.
From the opening tip-off, the Fire displayed an impressive level of energy and cohesion, setting the tone for what would be a sensational display of basketball. The Fire went into the half with a 60-35 lead.
Townsville’s relentless offensive pressure kept the scoreboard ticking over, and their defensive prowess limited the Flyers’ scoring opportunities, ultimately ensuring the Fire’s continued dominance on both ends of the court.
Leading the charge for the Fire was an exceptional team effort, with standout performances from multiple players.Steph Reid was at her brilliant best at both ends of the court, finishing the game as player of the game with 22 points, 3 Rebounds and 6 assists.

The Fire have little time to celebrate the win, as they head straight from Melbourne to Sydney to take on the Flames, Saturday 16th December.
