Fire play for Fire Relief
The JCU Townsville Fire are about to take on 4 games, in 4 States across 9 days. A tough stretch to say the least, but nothing in comparison to those around the Nation effected by the devastating bush fire crisis.
On Friday night when the Fire take on the Canberra Capitals at home, we are supporting our fellow Australians, those affected by the bush fire crisis that has brought Australia to its knees and left the rest of the world watching on in horror.
10% of all walk up ticket sales will be donated directly to the RFA and CFA,100% of the proceeds from a live auction to be held at half time featuring current and past player memorabilia, Donation tins at the stadium and the club has already raised over $1000.00 throughout the week through a raffle.
JCU Townsville Fire coach Shannon Seebohm hopes that his team dig deep and play for their loyal fans and members at tomorrow nights home game.
He was happy with the mood within the group ahead of the crucial playing schedule, despite the current position on the ladder of the team.
“We spoke about what we want to focus on to close out this season so we’ll give it our best shot,” Seebohm said.
