Fire welcome newest member
JCU Townsville Fire championship winning captain Rachael McCully is a mum once again after giving birth to a little boy.
Earlier this month, the retired star welcomed Miles John McCully to the world – a brother to Mila Joy – and was on hand at Townsville Basketball at the weekend as part of their championship banner raising ceremony.
McCully played a key role in the Flames’ back-to-back QBL and national title wins.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful women who inspire us every day. A special shout out to Rachael & Brendon McCully, who have just welcomed a beautiful little boy, Miles, into the world. This is your day! #FireUpTownsville pic.twitter.com/ajhAjQL8ym

“On behalf of the Fire, we’re delighted for Rachael, Brendon and Mila,” Fire General Manager Richard Goodbody said.
“Since retiring from the WNBL, we have valued Rachel’s contributions to our championship wins including the 2015/16 and 2017/18 titles and have enjoyed the presence of Mila in and around the club.
“We look forward to Miles joining her sister in 2018/19.”
The Fire congratulate Rachael and Brendon McCully on the birth of Miles.
