As part of the Army’s home game this weekend, The JCU Townsville Fire are proud to introduce the Batkovic Winter Cup, The inaugural match will take place at the Fire’s Home Game this Saturday Feb 1, with  the ADF Vs The Emergency Services and will continue for many seasons to come.
The introduction of the Cup was an idea from Townsville’s former Commander, Brigadier Scott Winter. The Army are a proud partner of the JCU Townsville Fire and the Townsville Fire wear the Rising Sun Badge every game with immense pride and privilege.
It is a fitting way to honour both the clubs greatest player Suzy Batkovic and Brigadier Winter,
