JCU’s best series presents Holly Ransom
May 24, 2017 | Townsville Fire news
Port Adelaide Football Club director and CEO of Emergent, Holly Ransom, will visit Townsville next month to share her knowledge of how organisations can embrace a rapidly-changing workplace.
Ransom boasts a wealth of experience in business leadership, including chairing the G20 Youth Summit in 2014, and can also claim to be a dream dinner guest of Virgin CEO Richard Branson.
Speaking at a Business Excellence Series in the Tropics (BEST) event at Rydges Southbank on Thursday, June 8, Ransom will address how to lead a diverse workforce and how to position organisations to benefit from a constantly shifting environment.
Over the years, Ransom has worked with companies including Microsoft, KPMG, Europcar, and Virgin, and alongside world leaders including Barack Obama.
Emergent works with organisations to create solutions to complex problems.
She will be in Townsville to talk about some of the emerging trends in business.
These trends include the digital frontier, big data, artificial intelligence, multi-generational workforces, and the changing nature of work.
All of these trends have an impact on consumers, communication, and management.
Ransom will provide attendees with a toolkit to respond to these trends, and address how local businesses can inspire innovation in their workforce.
BEST features a series of presentations by prominent community, industry and government leaders who share their knowledge and experience on a range of topical themes, providing a unique opportunity for business networking and to keep up to date with the latest developments at JCU.
BEST is organised by the James Cook University College of Business, Law and Governance.
