The JCU Townsville Fire are pleased to announce the signing of Shyla Heal for the remainder of the 2022-23 Cygnett WNBL season.
With current injury concerns to both Lauren Nicholson and Stephanie Reid,
Heal will be a welcome addition to the team as they chase a finals spot.
Coach Seebohm is very happy to see Shyla back in the Fire uniform,
Seebohm says,
“She is familiar face to the team and fans due to her being a key part of our run during the 2020 hub season where we played in the grand final.
Her addition is due to our current injury situation and the need to provide our players the ability to look after their bodies without the pressure to play through significant pain. Shyla will add to our guard depth and provide a scoring punch for us as we aim to qualify for the finals”
Heal will take the court for the Fire against the Perth Lynx in Perth tonight.
