SAFFRON SHIELS TO REMAIN AT THE FIRE FOR 2 MORE SEASONS!
The Townsville Fire are excited to announce that Saffron Shiels will be remaining at the Fire for the next two WNBL Seasons.
Shiels, who at only just 17 years of age, joined the Townsville Fire last season, is looking forward to being in Fire colours for the foreseeable future.
“I’m super excited to be staying with the Fire,” said Shiels said “
“I have been in Townsville all off-season, playing for the Townsville Flames in NBL1 and working with Shannon on my game, I love it here and am so glad to be staying”
The now 18-year-old was recently announced in the Australian Gems Under 18 team and is off to China for the upcoming Asia Cup later this month.
Head Coach Shannon is thrilled to have someone with Saffron’s raw talent, hard work ethic, and all-round great person, remaining at the Fire.
