Having won back-to-back championships in 2007 and 2008 – winning ABA titles under Fire assistant Mark Wrobel in the same period – the Flames will host the Brisbane Spartans in the best-of-three series after demolishing Rockhampton at the weekend.

Three-time WNBL champion Micaela Cocks registered 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists, while under-17 Australian representative Alex Fowler has 12 points coming off the bench.

The Spartans kept their title defence alive with an 89-84 upset over Ipswich.

The Flames will host the Spartans over the weekend with the best-of-three series taking place at Star FM Stadium on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday (if required).
