The UC Capitals dominate with 42-point win over Southside

March 5, 2022 | UC Capitals news

The UC Capitals have put up a whopping 106 points tonight while containing the Southside Flyers to just 62.

The 42-point win comes despite losing Mikaela Ruef and coming off a loss to the Melbourne Boomers last week.

Britt Sykes led all scorers with 24 points and 9 assists, Kelsey Griffin notched another double double with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Kelly Wilson contributed 16 points and 6 steals.

Following Jenna O’Hea opening up about her own mental health struggles, the Southside Flyers pledged to donate $100 for every assist they made tonight to Lifeline. Prior to the game, in light of all the devastating news lately from the war in Ukraine to the floods in Australia, the UC Capitals announced they’d match all funds raised to support Lifeline and encourage anyone suffering to reach out and connect.

Together, the Flyers and the UC Capitals will donate a combined $4400 thanks to Southside’s 22 assists.
