Following a successful first year together, the UC Capitals are proud to announce an extension of their partnership with Allhomes for the 2023/24 WNBL season.

Allhomes continue to be a passionate advocate of supporting the local community and the UC Capitals are honoured to be working with them again.

Senior Marketing Manager at Allhomes, Dan Hawcroft, says they are excited to be returning and are looking forward to contributing to the Canberra sporting landscape.

“Being able to continue and grow our partnership with Lucille and the team at the UC Capitals really shows our commitment to supporting women’s sports throughout the region,” Mr Hawcroft said.

“Not only is the UC Capitals an incredible group of people on and off the court, but their passion for encouraging young players into the game is something that really resonates with us and extends wider than gameday”.

Allhomes presented the Caps End of Season Awards during their first year of the partnership, where they sponsored the inaugural ‘Sixth Player Award’ which was awarded to the Caps loyal fanbase.

“The passion the Canberra community holds for the Capitals is very much palpable at every single game and we are excited that Allhomes can help be a part of that again this season,” Mr Hawcroft said.

Caps general manager, Lucille Bailie, is also excited to see the partnership grow to incorporate a Cuddle Cappie segment at Caps home games. The activation sees a young fan take to the court blindfolded, and with the help of the audience must find the Caps mascot, Cappie the Giraffe, and give him a hug.

“Thanks to Allhomes, the participant will also get a Caps prize pack, plus $150 towards their annual basketball fees to help them play the sport they love,” said Bailie.

“Allhomes and the Caps already share a lot of values, and we love that Allhomes are also just as passionate as us about supporting young kids to play basketball, because it’s such a fabulous sport, it keeps kids and families healthy and active.”
