UC Capitals fans to congregate at Dendy Cinemas for finals live on the big screen
The UC Capitals have cemented their place in finals, finishing third on the ladder, and will take on the Melbourne Boomers in the semi-final.
While packing out the AIS Arena isn’t an option this season with the finals series to be played in Townsville, the UC Capitals will have the roaring support of their fans from afar with the game to be broadcast at Dendy Canberra.
Tickets to the event are on sale to the general public at 12pm, Monday 14 December and will include a drink, choc top and popcorn.
General manager of the UC Capitals, Lucille Bailie, is encouraging all fans to come together, get loud and show the team Canberra is with them in spirit.
“The UC Caps take enormous pride in representing our city and that hasn’t wavered despite missing home games.
“The team has made no secret of the fact that their supporters, members and sponsors is their sixth player and they draw a lot of inspiration from the support and engagement that Canberra provides.
“We’re delighted to launch our big screen finals events via a partnership with Dendy Cinemas and invite everyone to build on the great tradition of support for the Caps as they chase more WNBL success,” said Mrs Bailie.
It’s do or die for the UC Capitals who must win the semi and preliminary final before a shot at a threepeat becomes within reach.
The UC Capitals will hold events for every game in the finals series, giving fans a chance to stay as close to the action as possible.
Doors to the semi-final at Dendy Canberra will open from 5pm for tip off at 6. Ticket pricing:
- Adults $20
- Kids $10
