What you need to know about game two of the semi-final series

February 19, 2020 | UC Capitals news

The UC Capitals will head to Melbourne this weekend where they will meet the Boomers for game two of the semi-final series on Sunday, 6PM.

After a 14-point victory in game one, another win will mean a ticket straight to the grand-final to end the Boomers’ championship hopes.

However, if the UC Capitals fall short and the series is tied up 1-1, we will be forced to game three.

Because the Caps won the series split over Melbourne in the regular season and therefore hold home court advantage, game three would be played in Canberra at the AIS Arena on Wednesday, 26 February.

The WNBL and the UC Capitals will announce the time, which is yet to be confirmed, immediately following game two if a third is necessary.

In that case, the member pre-sale will begin 10AM, Monday 24 February before general public sales at 4PM the same day. Members will be emailed a unique code to access the pre-sale and 15% discount.

On Tuesday night, the Southside Flyers, the minor premiers, defeated the Adelaide Lightning in game one of their semi-final series. If the Flyers can pull it off again in game two this Saturday night, we could potentially see them in the grand-final.

The Melbourne Boomers and Adelaide Lightning won’t make it easy for the game one winners, though, so be sure to tune into what will be a thrilling second round of the semi-final series.
