February 1, 2023 | WNBL news

In a game set to break records, here’s everything you need to know about the Southside Flyers and Sydney Flames matchup at John Cain Arena.

CELEBRATING THE LJ LEGACY

When the Jayco Southside Flyers rescheduled their Round 13 clash with the Sydney Flames to John Cain Arena, Gerry Ryan’s club created a special celebration for Australian women’s basketball and its all-time leader – Lauren Jackson.

Returning to the WNBL at 41 years of age this season, Jackson has put on a vintage display of world-class basketball that continues to attract record-breaking crowds across the league.

The Flyers are calling on Victorian sports fans to maximise John Cain Arena’s capacity to create a record-breaking crowd of more than 7,500 fans to celebrate Jackson’s phenomenal career.
