UPDATE – Flames’ Burton charged by WNBL Game Review Panel

On Monday 23 November, Brydens Sydney Uni Flames Forward Natalie Burton took an early guilty plea and is free to play tonight against Perth Lynx in Cairns.
Burton was charged with Careless High Contact of Medium Impact on UC Capitals co-captain Kelsey Griffin during their match up on Saturday 21 November 2020.
She will incur a financial penalty of $150.

The WNBL’s Game Review Panel (GRP) has charged Brydens Sydney Uni Flames Forward Natalie Burton with Careless High Contact of Medium Impact on UC Capitals co-captain Kelsey Griffin during their match up on Saturday 21 November 2020.
The incident, which occurred with 2:34 remaining in the fourth quarter of their 2020 Chemist Warehouse WNBL Round 2 match at Cairns Pop-Up Arena, carries a base penalty of a one (1) game suspension, and if an early guilty plea is entered it has a financial penalty of $150.
Burton and the Flames have the opportunity to take an early guilty plea.
If the early guilty plea isn’t taken, the matter will be heard by the Tribunal on the morning of Tuesday 24 November (time TBC but prior to 12.00pm local).
