The #WNBL20 Christmas Wish List

December 24, 2019 | WNBL news

It’s the most wonderful time of the year (outside of play-offs).

We’ve checked Santa’s naughty and nice list and discovered the Christmas wishes of our Chemist Warehouse WNBL players and coaches.

Santa knows who’s been bad (to the refs) and good (on the boards) so we’ll have to wait and see whose wishes are granted.

Marianna Tolo, UC Capitals: “I wish that everyone in the WNBL stays healthy for the rest of the season.”

Nicole Seekamp, Adelaide Lightning: “My Christmas wish is for us to be the best defensive team in the league and go one step further than last season and win the WNBL championship.”

Abi Wehrung, Bendigo Spirit: “My Christmas wish is to get the win over Townsville in our last game of the year on December 28.”

Cayla George, Melbourne Boomers: “Dog cheerleaders at WNBL games.”

Leilani Mitchell, Southside Flyers: “I wish that everyone stays healthy for the season!”

Tess Madgen, Townsville Fire: “We have a pretty hectic schedule around Christmas time with three games on Christmas week and travelling to Melbourne on Boxing Day, so my Christmas wish is to win all three of those games!”

Katrina Hibbert, Sydney Uni Flames coach: “My Christmas wish is to add to our wins tally after Christmas and to have Britt Smart back on court from injury.”

Katie-Rae Ebzery, Perth Lynx: “For everyone in the league to stay healthy and for us to win our final games of the year.”
