Boomers Set To Celebrate Junior Hoops On Thursday Night
With huge crowds flocking to see Melbourne’s WNBL team in action this season, all attention now turns to Thursday night’s game against Sydney as the Deakin Melbourne Boomers celebrate junior basketball in a big way.
Proudly presented by Basketball Victoria, this Thursday’s game is the annual Wear Your Colours night, where every junior (17yrs & under) wearing their own junior club colours will receive free entry.
“If you’re a junior, all you need to do is come to the game wearing your own junior club colours and we’ll give you a free ticket to come in and watch the Boomers play the Flames,” said Boomers GM, Justin Nelson.
After 2,787 fans turned up to the Cup Eve clash, the club is set to break new ground with another big crowd on Thursday night.
“It’s great to think so many people will be coming along in the space of just a few days to support the Boomers. The basketball community loves the game and the team representing their city.”
Group bookings are also available for Thursday’s game, which is a great way the adults can save some money (15% off) if they have a group of 10 or more.
“Thursday’s game is a fantastic way for any junior team out there to spend some quality time together – some team bonding,” said Nelson, adding “The kids just need to wear their colours for free entry and then the adults can join them by doing a group booking. We’ll reserve the seats for the whole group as well.”
