Ezi WNBA debut

July 29, 2020 | Melbourne Boomers news

Much loved Boomers superstar Ezi Magbegor took to the WNBA court for the first time over the weekend, and her debut performance was one to be remembered. The 20-year old made a real impact in her time on the floor, ending the game with seven points and three rebounds to help Seattle Storm defeat New York Liberty, 87-71.

Magbegor was joined on court by several other familiar WNBL faces in Mercedes Russell (Southside Flyers/Seattle Storm) and Kia Nurse (UC Capitals/New York Liberty), who went down with an ankle injury in the second term.

The game was the first for the 2020 WNBA Season, with all teams currently living in ‘The Bubble’, in Florirda, USA. Ezi and the Storm are set to play again this Wednesday, 29 July at 12pm AEST.
