ULTIMATE GAME GUIDE – Another Double Header For Boomers

November 21, 2018 | Melbourne Boomers news

By the time the clock ticks past 5pm this Sunday, the DEAKIN MELBOURNE BOOMERS will have already completed their 12th game of the season following a 23-day patch that has seen them play eight games across four states.

Melbourne’s WNBL team face another double-header for the fourth consecutive week with games against the UC Capitals in Canberra this Friday night, before flying home to play Adelaide Lightning on Sunday at the State Basketball Centre from 3pm.

First up is Friday’s game where the Boomers head to Canberra (7pm tip-off) to take on the second-placed UC Capitals. This will be the third and final match-up between the two as the Boomers look to get their second win against the Capitals this season.

The game will be critical for final placings, deciding the season series between the two.

The Boomers then have a quick turnaround with another game against Adelaide waiting for them at home on Sunday. It will be the first time the two teams have met this season, which also doubles as Steph Talbot’s 100th WNBL game.

The showdown is also the club’s Giveaway Sunday game, the biggest day of the season for giveaways. The Boomers are renowned for their great giveaways, fun and games – this Sunday will be a day you don’t want to miss!

Tip-off is at 3pm and General Admission tickets are available to purchase at the door from 1pm, while Reserved Seats can be booked online.

Following four wins in a row, including back-to-back wins last round against Perth and Townsville, the Boomers now sit third on the Chemist Warehouse WNBL ladder at 7-3.
