FLYERS START THE SEASON AT HOME
Lauren Jackson is set to make her debut for the Flyers at the State Basketball Centre in the first round of the 2022/23 WNBL season.
The Flyers opening two games will be at our new home venue, the State Basketball Centre. The opening game will be on Saturday, November 5 against Adelaide and then a blockbuster game in round 2, a Melbourne derby against the Boomers on Wednesday, November 9.
“We are excited to be playing at our new home venue and it is great that we will get to open our season with two home games. Playing in front of our Flyers family is always great and I am sure our supporters will give our team a huge welcome to our new home,” said Flyers coach Cheryl Chambers.
As well as starting the season with home games, the Flyers will finish the 2022/23 WNBL season with a number of home games, including the last three at the State Basketball Centre.
Finally, the WNBL released the fixture, together with the new broadcast deal, is the biggest deal in WNBL history.
