Shyla Heal returns from Opals debut in Serbia

She’s back!
After a successful stint with the Australian Opals in her debut for the senior national team, Shyla Heal is back in Sydney and ready to take on the rest of the WNBL season.
Heal played close to 20 minutes over the three games in the qualifying tournament and made two three-pointers in her Opals debut.
She told Flames media that finally making the Opals teams was a dream come true and she learnt a lot from the experience.
“The biggest takeaway I had from the camp is really just learning the style of play and culture that the Opals want to be known for,” she said.
Heal arrived back in Sydney on Wednesday. She said how excited to back to the courts with the Flames at Brydens Stadium.
“I am super excited to be back with the my Flames girls,” she said.
“I watched both their games while I was overseas and I was cheering them on so it’s nice to be back with them.”
The Flames have been practicing frequently but Shyla will come back just in time to prepare for the Flames’ road trip down to Victoria to take on the Melbourne Boomers this Sunday at 2.30 pm.
“Flames fans should definitely be expecting me back on Sunday,” she said.
“I’m really motived to finish this season on a high and keep improving as a team and individually too.”
The Flames take on the Boomers on Sunday at 2.30 pm, streaming on Kayo.
The next Flames home game will be at Brydens Stadium on Saturday, February 26 at 7.30pm. It should be a great hoops filled night out in the city, if you haven’t already, get your tickets here.
