Brancatisano re-signs for NBL1 South’s Pioneers
Sydney Flames’ Isabella Brancatisano has officially re-signed with the Mount Gambier Pioneers for the 2025 NBL1 South season.
Flame #225 Brancatisano, who was recently crowned the Hoops Capital club’s Co-Defensive Player of the Year and Players’ Player winner, decided to return to the Pioneers for a a third season – a stint which includes being named the 2023 NBL1 South Women’s Defensive Player of the Year.

“Having Isa return for her third season as a Pioneer is hugely important for us, she had an outstanding season in 2023,” Pioneers coach Matthew Sutton said in a club statement.
“Off the court, Isa’s impact with the local community has been outstanding.
“Her effort, toughness, along with her skill and team-first mentality, makes her an outstanding teammate and natural leader.”
In 2024, Brancatisano showcased her versatility by averaging 12.58 points, 4.42 assists and 5.58 rebounds per game.
