Alice Kunek joins LFB’s Tarbes

Perth Lynx forward Alice Kunek has signed with Tarbes Gespe Bigorre in the French Ligue Feminine de Basketball (LFB).

Joining the club as an injury replacement, Kunek will represent Tarbes until Sunday 18 February, before returning to Australia to attend Opals’ Training Camp alongside Lynx teammate Sami Whitcomb.

The 27-year-old flew to France on Wednesday evening, and will hope to be cleared in time to take the court for tomorrow’s match against Lyon Asvel Feminin.

The athletic forward is no stranger to the LFB, having played for Lyon in 2017 before joining the Perth Lynx.

Kunek enjoyed a stellar season with the Lynx, averaging 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and career high 2.2 three-pointers per game.
