Perth Lynx forward Asia Taylor has been cleared of any wrongdoing during Friday night’s four-point win over Canberra.

Kelsey Griffin of the UC Capitals left the game with a cut to her head following accidental contact from Taylor as the Perth player attempted a layup.

The incident occurred with 3.19 remaining in the second quarter.

The WNBL investigated the incident before issuing the following statement:

“The league has completed a full review of all video evidence from the game and have concluded that in this specific incident the contact was incidental and deemed an unfortunate occurrence that can take place within the game of basketball.”

Griffin returned in the third quarter and played just over 16 minutes in the second half.
