July 22, 2017 | Perth Lynx news
The FIBA Women’s Asia Cup begins tomorrow, with Alice Kunek and Toni Farnworth making up the Perth Lynx representatives at the tournament.
A top-four finish will see Australia and New Zealand qualify for the 2018 FIBA World Cup, with Kunek’s Opals and Farnworth’s Tall Ferns set to play three group games before tackling the knockout portion of the tournament.
Australia begin their tournament with a match against Korea, before taking on the Philippines and Japan in consecutive days.
For Farnworth and the New Zealand team, a contest with China looms as the Tall Ferns open their Asia Cup campaign late tomorrow evening.
Fox Sports will broadcast all Australian Opals games live, starting at 1:30pm WST tomorrow, as the Aussies look to start the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup on the right foot.
