Gorman returns to Lynx for 24-25
Perth Lynx are excited to announce the re-signing of Steph Gorman for the 2024-25 WNBL season.
Gorman made the step up from NBL1 star to WNBL rookie last season and made an impression around the group.
The versatile talent’s decision to remain in WA during the off-season has paid dividends, leading Cockburn Cougars to the NBL1 decider.
Gorman has averaged 16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.45 assists, 3.6 three-pointers and 2.4 steals for game for the Cougars in an exciting sign for the upcoming WNBL campaign.
“I’m so excited for this upcoming season,” Gorman said.
“I had such a great time last year and really enjoyed playing for the Lynx so I’m feeling very grateful to be back.
“I really enjoyed Ryan’s (head coach Ryan Petrik) style of play and I’m looking forward to taking my game to the next level and to learning as much as I can from my coaches and teammates.
“It’s been amazing to be apart of the Lynx culture and community this last season.
“The Lynx fans are incredible and I can’t wait to get going again.”
“We’re excited to welcome Steph back for 2024-25,” Lynx general manager Samantha Macpherson added.
“Steph was a popular member of the group in her debut season at the Lynx and we believe she can take her game to another level this summer.
“She’s remained in WA during the off-season and has enjoyed an outstanding NBL1 West campaign with Cockburn, leading them to the grand final.
“She’s a versatile talent who can guard multiple positions and play multiple positions, while her long-range shooting has also improved.”
