Thursday preview – Perth Lynx @ Dandenong Rangers

November 22, 2017 | Perth Lynx news

The Perth Lynx hit the road to take on the Dandenong Rangers tomorrow afternoon, looking for their sixth consecutive victory and bragging rights in the season series.

Riding a franchise best five game win streak, the Lynx are looking to continue their ascendency up the WNBL ladder, but will run into some familiar faces and a hostile road setting on the way.

The Lynx and Rangers battled it out in a gripping three game semi-final series last season, with Perth’s difficulties in Dandenong proving to be a sticking point in the postseason – a trend Andy Stewart’s troops will be looking to buck.

Courtney Williams gets her first look at the Rangers, after missing the recent meeting between these sides through injury, and enters the game in red-hot form, having recently been named WNBL Player of the Week.

Perth received a big boost from their bench in recent weeks, and will hope that the fine form of the second unit continues; Alex Ciabattoni leads the league in three-point percentage (56 per cent), while Amanda Dowe (12 rebounds) and Olivia Thompson (nine boards) each claimed their season best figures on the glass in the team’s most recent road trip.

The travelling Lynx will need to keep close tabs on Stephanie Blicavs, whose 15.3 points per game see her sitting ninth in the WNBL scoring charts.

The Perth Lynx take on the Dandenong Rangers on Thursday 23 November at 4:30pm WST – you can watch the game live here.
